Surfing
is a sport that can only be done in some parts of the world because it requires
waves. I wanted to build a wave pool for my site so that it would similate waves
and would make it possible to surf in Chicago, Illinois. I'm sure there are
others like myself who have never had the opportunity to try to surf, but would
desperately like to learn. This park would not only offer a great place to escape
to nature, but also to learn and try new sports. Some of my designs were based
off of a wave also. The overhang above the pool platform on the house was to
imitate a wave rolling over. Also the four bumps in the landscaping are supposed
to simulate waves in the grass.
